Family
. . . that looks & feels like you . . .
- Bob Dylan
"Take care of all your memories. For you cannot relive them."
How will your children remember you? How will they remember themselves? What do you want them to see when they look back at photos of their loved ones? Don't leave it to chance and a cell phone!
As your Collingwood Family Photographer, and a mother of three (who are all growing way too fast, might I add), it's my utmost pleasure to help you hang onto these exquisite moments of life.
Come as you are and enjoy a playful outing with your dearest hearts. And before you know it, we'll create an artful record of your joy and connection that will delight you and yours forever!
So what's the process? Read on, friend.

I'm happy to answer them! If the answer to your question isn't found in the FAQ below, feel free to contact me!
> My Kids are a bit wild / I'm not photogenic! Will you be able to get any good photos of us?
> What is your privacy policy? Will my images be shared online?
> Do you photograph extended families with 20+ people?
> What is the best time of day for our session?
> WHat if it rains or someone get sick on our session date?
> What are our location options, and can you accommodate mobility concerns?
I love to suggest locations based on the "vibe" you want (e.g., beach vs. wooded/forest) and your specific needs. We can also conduct your session at your property, if you prefer.
For families with mobility concerns (scooters, canes, or limited walking), I have a number of accessible spots I can recommend, which offer variety while being easy to traverse from your parking location.
After booking you can detail any needs in your questionnaire so I can ensure we choose a site with close parking and minimal walking.
> What are our location options, and can you accommodate mobility concerns?
Life happens. If your timing allows, we will reserve two dates at the outset — a primary choice and a backup rain date.
I know how much effort goes into getting your family ready, and the last thing you want is to get dressed up only to be rained out or have someone come down with a fever.
I get in touch with your a few days prior to your session to make sure we're good to go (or to make alternate arrangements). I always maintain room in my calendar to allow for rescheduling.
> WHat if it rains or someone get sick on our session date?
While the "golden hour" (the hour before sunset) provides the most flattering, soft, and glowy light — and I will always encourage this session timing, whenever possible — I understand that might not always be possible due to young kiddo bedtimes or your own family's scheduling restrictions.
We can absolutely work around those needs if golden hour is a "no-go". If we must shoot earlier in the day, I will select a sheltered location (like a wooded area) to filter out harsh midday sunlight and ensure you get beautiful photos regardless of the time.
> What is the best time of day for our session?
Absolutely! I've photographed dozens of extended families and family reunions over the years. I even wrote a blog post about how special important these sessions are!
Extended family sessions are awesome but they are a bit of a different beast. To help keep things running smoothly, I have a dedicated approach for ensuring everyone is prepared and knows what to expect going into the session.
Feel free to reach out to me if you'd like to discuss how best to document your large family gathering. I've got you! :)
> Do you photograph extended families with 20+ people?
Your privacy is a top priority, and I completely respect that the decision to share your family’s images is deeply personal.
While I truly love sharing some of my favourite, beautiful images from past sessions to showcase my work as it evolves, I understand that many families prefer to keep their photos private.
Rest assured, your images will not be shared online unless you are fully comfortable with it. I want you to feel completely at ease with your family's digital footprint, so please don't hesitate to let me know your preferences, and I will honour them.
> What is your privacy policy? Will my images be shared online?
Please don't worry! I hear this from almost everyone. Feeling a bit awkward in front of the camera is totally normal, and those "wild" moments with your kids often turn out to be my absolute favorite shots.
My approach focuses on connection, not perfection. Just enjoy each other’s company, and I promise we’ll capture something beautiful and authentic.
I’ll provide simple guidance to keep things fun and relaxed. My job is to document your family as you really are, not how you think you "should" look.
If you like what you see in my portfolio, I promise you'll love your images!
